Jamie Clarke works with elite teams who win, including Olympic teams, NHL teams, sales teams, leadership teams, and start-up teams. What connects them all is pressure. Through his philosophy of decision-making in extremes and a storytelling style that moves audiences from laughter to tears, Jamie offers fresh perspectives on success and failure, and risk versus reward.
Creative, humorous, and passionate, Jamie walks audiences through his planning process for expeditions and business, sharing essential lessons on risk assessment, listening for cracks in the ice—and the team—and weathering both literal and metaphorical storms.
Through heart-stopping challenges, Jamie has reached the peak of his profession as a climber and expedition leader. After failing twice, he went on to summit Mt. Everest’s death zone twice, trekked 1,000 miles across one of the world’s most inhospitable deserts, and became one of the few alpinists to complete the Seven Summits. A successful entrepreneur and former CEO of an e-commerce start-up, Jamie is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Calgary.
